Session 4
They students are diving in deeper into the phases of the moon. The students will create a model, using any available materials, to show the movement of the earth, moon phases and the sun. They can choose to do a model with the explanation of the tilt of the earth and how this relates to the change of the seasons. Each student will complete a a Flipgrid video showing their model and explaining it.

Session 3
We will learn about the length of days in the summer and winter. We will also learn about the phases of the moon.

Session 2
In this lesson we will discover what an Engineer, Scientist and an Inventor are and what they do. The students will participate in giving their ideas and gaining an understanding of how engineers help us. They will also consider what would be a great new invention.
Session 1
In this session, we will make introductions, discuss procedures, define STEM and complete a Flipgrid challenge to build a STEM Toolbox from recycled items.
After the Live session, students will complete the assignment.
In the Flipgrid assignment: Students will: 1. Introduce themselves and tell 3 things about them. 2. Tell what STEM means. 3.Tell what they found on their STEM scavenger hunt (examples of recycled items will be discussed during the live session). Use the link or the QR code to make the Flipgrid video.
