NPK Science Fair
Science Fair projects must be turned in by Wednesday, January 19th. We want to showcase the projects during STEM Family Night. Here is the information to help you complete the project. Steps for doing your science fair project. 1. Choose a topic. I have a list of some things you could do. Ask me for help if you are still not sure 2. Think of a question to ask about the topic. 3. Make a hypothesis. Write down what you think will happen 4. Write down all the supplies you use for the project and each step you did. Do your research. You will have to do this on several days. For example: If you are testing which brand of microwave popcorn pops the best, you need to pop more than 2 packages of popcorn. You will need to count how many pieces popped and how many seeds were left. 5. Create a data chart to show what happened. 6. Write your conclusion. Was your hypothesis right or wrong? 7. Results: What other information did you find out? How could the experiment be changed? 8. Make your trifold board. Then create your Flipgrid video. I am Mrs. Evans and I am the Science/ STEM lab teacher. Our students love learning about STEM- science, technology, engineering and math. In doing STEM research and activities, we use the Engineering Design Process. This process helps students in planning and creating new and innovative designs.
